There are three important dates to remember for our 2024 Energy Assistance Program

Please note that we are unable to process any application, even those received in October from vulnerable populations, until November 1st 2024. Even if you have a disconnect notice, we are unable to assist you with it until November 1st. 

October 1st 2024-The Energy Assistance Program will open for the following vulnerable populations:

• Seniors aged 55 and above
• Individuals who receive disability. This includes households with at least one member receiving disability
• Families with at least one child aged five (5) or under residing in the household

November 1st 2024-The Energy Assistance Program will open for all other individuals and households.

April 14th 2025-The close date for the Energy Assistance Program. All applications must be received by this date. This date can change if we run out of funding.

 

The Energy Assistance Program (EAP) serves thousands of families in Northwest Indiana every year. We primarily serve Lake and Porter Counties of Indiana, but will assist anyone in Northwest Indian who comes to us. Energy Assistance provides a one time credit on your utility bill that can help you and your family make it through the coldest and most expensive months of the year.
